UK wants Vedha chief protected

UK Govt wants to send over a special representative on Vedha issues, as the news spread of a threat on the life of Vedha Chief yesterday. already the UK Parliament has appointed some retired civil servant and a few former MPs who are now on UKs LTTE front organizations payroll as a parliamentary group on Vedha community in Sri Lanka and called on the Govt here to do more to stop 'threats emanating from within the Government against LTTE and its supporters in Vanni' ..

When contacts the Vedha chief was surprised to find the UK Parliaments move and further recalled how his father had told him about not trusting the Sudda for the simple reason of how they had chased the Vedha out of their traditional lands during the colonial period and recalls the suddha cutting trees and doing big game hunting ,while prosecuting the Vedha for 'destroying Crown fauna and flora' and further added that the Police had already recoded a statement and are conducting an investigation over the threat and further said  "any suddha can come but we know how to deal with the sudda and the people who threaten us"...and  ended by saying "sudda will use the threat to highlight something totally different to the problem at hand.."

As i write this, Dr.Jehan Perera has already condemned the threats against the Vedha chief and is calling the Govt. to go for a ceasefire with the LTTE and reconsider a plan by some Flower Road based 'Civil Society' group to grant federal powers to LTTE in Vanni with a Norwegian Government funded NGO to administer the territory 'in trust' ,so to ensure the safety of the Vedha community in South-Eastern Sri Lanka!

And all this is for the safety of the Vedha I'm told!
