that amazing breakfast that i miss so much..

wanting for a quick breakfast and a coffee before starting a long day..one of those back street cafes..turned to be a work of art and a presentation that changed the day all together...
some times the best food and the best service is some thing to expect while on the go and not when you plan to sit down for a extended meal...
still..that Lady at the cafe knows how to fix a good breakfast and realign bearings of her customers... not to mention the waist on the longer run..but who cares about the waist..you eat you die....

Pittu Kill- currently at Rio Cinema Colombo..not to miss masterpiss ...

my mate KD sent this to me..guess the movie is about a serial killer cook who use Pittu as a weapon to kill people..
Pittu is a traditional Sinhalese dish (?), made out of floor and coconut..steamed..not sure how to explain.. may be Pradeep Jeganathan of My Half Life-Food Photo blog fame might be the best man to shed some light.. of course on Pittu...the food but not on the Pittu kill gig.. may be one shot' fagot of 'Leader' fame could be the best on explaining latter!
either way.. remember ..Pittu Kill is Adults only....now @ Rio..Colombo..1030/1530/1830hrs..Don't miss!!!!

PM Singh,Terror in Mumbai,LTTE in India etc...

I, like the rest of the world strongly condemn the attacks carried out against innocent civilians in Mumbai by unknown terrorist group and agree with the Prime Minister of India Dr.Manmohan Singh on taking strong action against all forms of terror.

PM Singh,in his address to the Nations said "We will take up strongly with our neighbors that the use of their territory for launching attacks on us will not be tolerated and that there would be a cost if suitable measures are not taken by them."

About fucking time Mr.Prime Minister...

Oh by the way.. pls have a look at the pix below...few pix from the old picture book i keep on the LTTE of Sri Lanka..these are from the section called "boys having fun in India" ..

Prabakaran's Annual No Hope for Peace..War is the Only Option Speech..

I decided not to waste too much of my time writing on above..the pictures produced here will explain a thousand words instead of me trying my poor English (as some readers have pointed out recently!!!)...however, i wanted to add my last years post on the same subject!!

I wonder what VP will say next year..., of course..provided he makes it to next year..

V.Prabhakaran 26.11.1954 - (?) The Nightmare Continues..

Velupillai Prabhakaran, the Leader of the LTTE and a human monster of our times turns 54 today, his reign of terror, unspeakable cruelty, murder and destruction continues to mutate into one of mankind's' worst nightmares.

its high time the Tamil community realize their so called 'sole representative's idea of a Tamil Eelam is nothing but a concentration camp of the mind,a slave state where absolute obedience is enforced by way of the gun and has no room for dissent nor freedom of thought.

Prabhakaran, lost his sanity long ago in the hands of his own community over the caste and village repressions, is now losing his cadre and is not hesitant to sacrifice as much as people he can get his hands on ..all just to save his cowardly self, shrouded in a myth called Eelam!

one of 'his' will end this nightmare.. and it will come soon... i hope , for i have no intention to write this post next year!

Armistice Day,Ruwandan Genocide and Congo today..

Above pix of a Ruwandan mass grave has noting to do with the Armistice Day..nor with Congo but...

Armistice Day is the anniversary of the symbolic end of World War I on 11 November 1918. It commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at Rethondes, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning — the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month".

While this official date to mark the end of the war reflects the ceasefire on the Western Front, there is a different remembrance i want to highlight today, especially with the current situation in Republic of Congo..

The Rwandan Genocide was the 1994 mass killing of hundreds of thousands of Rwanda's Tutsis by Hutu militia. Over the course of approximately 100 days, from the assassination of President Habyarimana of Ruwanda on April 6th through to mid July, at least 500,000 people were killed. Most estimates indicate a death toll of 800,000 and 1,000,000 and the incidents and events that's currently taking place today in Congo reflect the early days of the Ruwandan genocide..

lets hope we don't get to post pictures of mass graves in Congo in the future.

Karuna Amman MP

well, this is it.. even with all the talk, farts and the shebang of Norway, the bogus Civil Society and Dr.Jehan Perera likes never managed to bring a glimmer of hope for Peace this close!!!!
Prabhakarans' old No.2 is now a MP in the Parliament of Sri Lanka, representing a political party.. lets see what this so called International Community has to say...
tell me not to throw him out of Parliament cause some one accuse them of recruiting underage as cadres while they the IC preach us to talk peace with the murderous LTTE ..thats a joke!

Graphic Journalism at its best- After 9/11: America's War on Terror (2001- )

Publishers Farrar, Straus, and Giroux have given Foreign Policy Magazine permission to post some excerpts from a new book  After 9/11: America's War on Terror (2001- ), by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colón.
A self-described "work of graphic journalism" by the same guys who put together the visual adaptation of the 9/11 report, is a ex-Marval comic Artists  way of looking at what's happened over the past seven years.
I've re-posted couple of images that was posted on FP from the book, which shows the Bush administration shifting its focus from Afghanistan to Iraq.

i think this book is a must have...for those rich ones with an interest in Global Politics ...not me.. unless VYB offers it at cheap rate...also , let this be an inspiration for some one to start a project on the same lines on the Conflict in our country..
