Pittu Kill- currently at Rio Cinema Colombo..not to miss masterpiss ...
my mate KD sent this to me..guess the movie is about a serial killer cook who use Pittu as a weapon to kill people..
Pittu is a traditional Sinhalese dish (?), made out of floor and coconut..steamed..not sure how to explain.. may be Pradeep Jeganathan of My Half Life-Food Photo blog fame might be the best man to shed some light.. of course on Pittu...the food but not on the Pittu kill gig.. may be one shot' fagot of 'Leader' fame could be the best on explaining latter!
either way.. remember ..Pittu Kill is Adults only....now @ Rio..Colombo..1030/1530/1830hrs..Don't miss!!!!

V.Prabhakaran 26.11.1954 - (?) The Nightmare Continues..
Prabhakaran, lost his sanity long ago in the hands of his own community over the caste and village repressions, is now losing his cadre and is not hesitant to sacrifice as much as people he can get his hands on ..all just to save his cowardly self, shrouded in a myth called Eelam!
one of 'his' will end this nightmare.. and it will come soon... i hope , for i have no intention to write this post next year!

Armistice Day,Ruwandan Genocide and Congo today..
Above pix of a Ruwandan mass grave has noting to do with the Armistice Day..nor with Congo but...
Armistice Day is the anniversary of the symbolic end of World War I on 11 November 1918. It commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at Rethondes, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning — the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month".
While this official date to mark the end of the war reflects the ceasefire on the Western Front, there is a different remembrance i want to highlight today, especially with the current situation in Republic of Congo..
The Rwandan Genocide was the 1994 mass killing of hundreds of thousands of Rwanda's Tutsis by Hutu militia. Over the course of approximately 100 days, from the assassination of President Habyarimana of Ruwanda on April 6th through to mid July, at least 500,000 people were killed. Most estimates indicate a death toll of 800,000 and 1,000,000 and the incidents and events that's currently taking place today in Congo reflect the early days of the Ruwandan genocide..
lets hope we don't get to post pictures of mass graves in Congo in the future.

Graphic Journalism at its best- After 9/11: America's War on Terror (2001- )
Publishers Farrar, Straus, and Giroux have given Foreign Policy Magazine permission to post some excerpts from a new book After 9/11: America's War on Terror (2001- ), by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colón.
A self-described "work of graphic journalism" by the same guys who put together the visual adaptation of the 9/11 report, is a ex-Marval comic Artists way of looking at what's happened over the past seven years.
I've re-posted couple of images that was posted on FP from the book, which shows the Bush administration shifting its focus from Afghanistan to Iraq.
i think this book is a must have...for those rich ones with an interest in Global Politics ...not me.. unless VYB offers it at cheap rate...also , let this be an inspiration for some one to start a project on the same lines on the Conflict in our country..
