advert in Singlish
says 'Chinese food', 'rice and curry' ,'pride' rice', 'chicken booriyani' and 'noodles' in Sinhalese letters. my question is if you can read Sinhalese , why put it in English names ?
Considering the fact, people also use language for communication purposes some times, this is nothing strange. We call the mouse, the mouse, not whatever the strange name some strange person happened to came up with. Terms like “Cheena Keema”, “thel Dapu Bath”, will not very useful in commercial communication. At least I feel it that way.
+1
